Today is a good day.

The manager for Professional Services just stopped by my cube, introduced herself, and told me a couple of the programmers from my previous project had given her my name. She has a developer position for Java Server Pages opening up, and she encouraged me to apply. Looks like I’ve got the inside track.

JSP is pretty brainless stuff, but the position is more respectable than what I have now. It might pay better, too.

I’m gonna go for it. It might bolster my chances with Product Development (or with another company) a year from now.

Just got my copy of Links 2004. Not too impressed with the graphics or the cheesy Matrix effects when you get a nice hit, but it’s fun to play…

What I really enjoy, though, is playing a course that’s just a few miles from Diana’s house, with mountain ranges I see on my daily commute in the background. Hell, I might even go play the real course (after a few trips to the driving range), just so I can see the differences between that and the game. Dunno what it is, but I love seeing the real world pixelized.
