The chain of events this morning:

• Realized I needed to get trash to curb.
• Went to move car so I could roll huge bin out of packed garage.
• Car fails to start, or in fact do anything.
• Recalled I was told by mechanic 2 months ago battery was failing and needed replacing.
• Hooked battery up to trickle charger.
• Heard garbage truck approaching.
• Realized dog had just escaped through door propped open by trickle charger extension cord, and is racing down street toward approaching garbage truck.
• Pulled Diana's car into drive, opened door, called dog.
• Closed car door with dog inside.
• Realized garbage truck is now one house away.
• Dashed down driveway with garbage bin.
• Ignored glaring garbage collector.
• Pushed empty garbage bin back to house.
• Siezed dog from car, pulled back to house.
• Drove Diana's car to work.
