Thought I was ready to graduate from Easy mode on Rock Band drums… and I am, on “Creep” and “Say It Ain’t So”. Anything else utterly kicks my ass.
It’s really tough for Diana and me to line up time to play together. Last night was the first time in a week, and will likely be the last until the weekend.

My Christmas present from Dad finally got in at the book store, and he handed it to me as soon as we were off the plane. (Dad also ordered a second copy for himself.) It’s about presenting information for rapid consumption, and Tufte practices what he preaches; I took in all the key points on the flight home. (I’ll be keeping it around for reference, of course.)

I can’t believe I actually want this. I never touched Guitar Hero, and I suck at DrumMania. But it’s fun as hell. You get a room full of people, and they’ll all be able to participate, even if it’s just holding up lighters, singing backup, or jeering. Now, how to justify that $200 price tag to myself?
